After studying journalism and creative writing for four years, I graduated from Western Illinois University in 2007 with a bachelors degree in fine arts. After finding my passion for designing the newspaper far outweighed any actual interest in actually writing an article in it, my career ambitions began to divert as I found ways to infuse the skills I learned in college with my desire to work in
a more artistic field.
Starting out, my freelance work as a graphic artist and photographer has, to date, lead to the crafting of dozens of websites, hundreds of flyers, backstage passes, post cards, business cards, various forms of promotional and public relation materials, and the taking of more photographs than I'd care to count. I worked along side some small companies and some very good people, slowly honing my newfound skill set.
Then, during the fall of 2013 I began working with Feld Entertainment, where I was placed on the front lines of their marketing services department as a production artist. It was there that I helped create and fulfill various localized material requests like posters, billboards and web ads to help promoters advertise the company's various AAA properties (Ringling Bros. and Disney On Ice, to name a few). A year and a half later I took the helm of department as its production manager and began reorganizing and restructuring the system I had worked in to make it more efficient, effective and an overall more enjoyable experience for all involved.
On a more personal level, I have a motor unlike anyone you've ever met or employed. I do not settle for anything but the best.
Ask around. Or, better yet, give me a challenge and watch me blow away your expectations.
